Loved this restaurant! I told the bar tender dealer's choice between a couple of items on the menu and the mushroom tacos did not disappoint! Drinks were great... highly recommend.

Well, this is going to be an interesting review to say the leastest. Long story short, this place ROX! The ambience makes me feel like I'm sitting in the Mexican basement of my abuelo (grandpa). The only negative of the ambience was how small the table was!! It made me be slopbucket... The table surface area to plate surface circumference area was not the most idealist to say the leastest. Now onto the comida (food), we hit the floor running with the queso. It was not much of a cheese dip but more like the filling of a Mexican mozzarella stick. The chorizo was fab tho, a beautiful taste in me Boca (mouth). Next we got the tuna tostada, the tuna was fre$h af but a little too fiery to say the leastest. I'm not the biggest fan of tuna and spicy but it was great! My girl acquaintance took a bite and it exploded, turning her into slopbucketa. Lastly, ....... Drum roll please....... THE MAIN EVENT (event event event) *echos*. The entre of the carnitas plate. I loved the variety that came with the plate. It had carnitas (duh) rice and beans, guac, cilantro, onion, and pico. The tortillas were also great. This was enough food for my girl acquaintances and I to have rations for weeks!!!! Jk not weeks but I was as stuffed as a turkey on thanksgiving nite! See ya manana (tomorrow)????? More like see you everyday! My girl acquaintance and I will dine here everyday until I see the light.

This was an amazing restaurant and I highly suggest you check it out. Ambiance: I love the vibe. It's subtle and feels like a cozy local spot mixed with upscale decor. It makes you feel comfortable and also like you're having dinner at a nice place. It's a good spot for a date. They have a really nice table tucked away by the windows for 2 people. Food: I really enjoyed the food here. They had so many great vegetarian options and it was nice to be confused about what I wanted. Started with the chips and salsa, 2 of them felt really fresh and were well seasoned. The third was a pico de gallo and tasted like one. The last one was a chili sauce, was spicy but felt a bit too oily for me. The chips were clearly freshly made and were thick and crispy. For appetizers we got the taquitos, delicious. Crispy and didn't feel over fried. It had the right amount of filling in it and the salsas it came with complimented it well. We also got the fried zucchini blossoms. They were amazing and such a unique take on zucchini blossoms. They were crispy and the filling was a good blend. As my main I got the mushroom barbacoa plate. The mushrooms were really good and well marinated. I liked that they had a different blend of mushrooms and it was smoky and spicy. Happy hour special: they have a great happy hour special from 4-6pm. It's discounted appetizers: nachos, chips and salsa etc. and also discounted drinks. Service: it was fast and everyone was friendly and helpful.

I ordered the salsa chips and pork belly tacos here which I absolutely loved. The chips came with 4 different salsa and we devoured them. I've never had crispy pork belly in a taco before so I'm so glad I got to try this combo. I would love to come back here and try their guacamole along with the other entrees. I would give this place a 5 stars however the vibes of this place were thrown off because it was unbearably loud in here. They also forgot to bring one of our dishes so my friend and I had to eat one taco each for dinner. We would have waited for the other dish but the first dish was already delayed for 30 min and they were going to kick us out in 30 min at that point because they were adhering to a 90 min reservation rule.

Amazing happy hour, but wish the menu was longer. Great deals. Great service. Regular drink menu is a tad pricy.

The place is inconspicuous - it didn't have a huge sign -- which would have helped me .. clearly I'm not from New York But you go down the stairs- and the atmosphere is chic and hip.. I enjoyed the bar setting- the patrons were lively I tried the drunken nachos-- beans on the bottom, a white cheese and pico - it was simple and delicious- whatever queso sauce they use is fingerling on good. I ordered a side of spicy green sauce which also good. My girl and mom split the pork carnitas plate and they love it-- they didn't even say a word- just biting away
